Roma's terrible start to the season continues as Roma lost their 3rd game of the season away to Siena. Totti, Cassetti, Vucinic, Juan and Tonetto were all out of action, leaving Baptista starting up front. Mexes and Panucci would later and insult to injury by both recieving red cards.

It din't take long for Siena to start threatening has a dangerous counter attack almost led to a goal if it wasn't for a goal-line clearance from Mexes, while at the other end Taddei had is shot saved from on-loan man Curci. Baptista's free-kick flew by while De Rossi could only manage the side netting it what was a good chance.

Siena broke the dead lock in a move that Mexs should feel he should have done better with. Maccarone rolled teh ball from outside the penalty area for Frick to finish off. As Roma's defence was once again suspect, Roma went into half time 1 - 0 down.

Roma's performance in the 2nd half was even worse then the first half, creating very few chances and almost going down even further. A good save from Doni saved Roma from going down even further.

Roma's bad was confirmed when Mexes was sent off, for two bookable offenses while Panucci was sent off for stoping an attack. The results leaves another bitter taste in the mouth of the Giallorossi who know if they don't finally get back to themselves again another 2004-2005 could be on its way.

Roma now climb the table and will now be hopeful of cointuning the run if they are to put in another good performance like today.

Luciano Spalletti - The right spirit has to be there, but today we could only play in short bursts. This ment right before half-time we went 1 - 0 down from a counter-attack. More then changing the system I'm more concerned with getting a few plays back.
