Roma travelled to France on the back of a good weekend performance against Atalanta. Roma were however still without Pizarro, Totti, Juan, Tonetto and Cassetti for this match.

Roma kept an unchanged side from the team that defeated Atalanta at the weekend with the exception of Perrotta in the place for Brighi. However the match itself was a disaster from the start, Roma's sluggish start of the season once again arose. In the first 50 minutes Roma craeted just about nothing. Bordeuax scored in the 17th minute to go ahead. It was fully deserved for the French who looked a far better side. Gourcuff shot a fecious shot from the left which smashed past Doni. Roma were given a life line when Henrique elbowed Perrotta to be sent off.

Roma went into half-time again 1 - 0 down and looked once again in dire form, however Roma picked up and scored a goal against the run of play. Vucinic headed home to equal it up and form then on it was one-way traffic.
-
Baptista came on for Menez and smashed in a wonderfull free-kick to give Roma the lead, the match was over in the 83rd minute when a lovely sweeping movement by Roma was finished off by Baptista who got onto the end of a Taddei cross.

Roma now go 3rd in the group and now are 1 point away from the leaders Cruji and Chelsea, despite a poor performance Roma managed a win and showed positive signs that they are coming out the crisis. Although their is plenty of work still to be done.
